Your data stays yours.
ASO Analytics is designed to help you understand your business without sending your analytics to us.
Your App Store data
The native app connects directly from your device to App Store Connect using your own API key. Sales, subscriptions and analytics are stored locally and synced through your private iCloud database. ASO Analytics does not operate a backend that receives those reports.
Your API key
Your .p8 private key and connection credentials are stored in the device keychain with device-only protection. The key does not sync through iCloud or iCloud Keychain and is not included in backups. Add it separately on each device you use.
The recommended Sales and Reports role cannot change prices, edit app metadata or submit builds. You can revoke the key in App Store Connect at any time.
Connections made by the app
- App Store Connect: requests your reports using authentication signed with your key.
- Apple storefront services: request public search positions, suggestions, ratings and listings using an app ID, search term or storefront code.
- European Central Bank: downloads exchange rates to display revenue in one currency.
- Apple iCloud: syncs your analytics through your private CloudKit database.
The app includes no analytics SDK, crash reporting SDK, advertising identifier or third-party tracking SDK. The native sample-data mode uses an in-memory portfolio without making network requests.
This website
The website’s product preview runs locally in your browser with fictional sample data. It does not connect to your App Store account, request credentials or upload the values you explore. This website does not include analytics trackers, advertising scripts or a newsletter submission service. Fonts and images are served with the site.
